June 12, 2001     v3.03+ results latest: 3 June 2001 (18)

The gates of software heaven open to reveal...
There have been revisions to several useful programs in the past couple of weeks:

SETI Spy: 3.07, this is a must have utility for SETI users. Best author supported freeware on the net (let alone SETI).
SETIDriver: v1.6.3.3, Mike Obers excellent Work Unit caching program.
WCPUID: 3.0b H.Oda's processor/chipset information program. When you reach the download link double click for the file not single! That little quirk has been been bugging me for ages!
TaskInfo2000: 3.06.11 beta. Details everything that's running under the hood on your system, a task manager on steroids. Beta yes but very clean and stable.
SiSoft Sandra: 2001te,(2001.5.8.1). Another established info/diagnostic tool with some quick memory benchmarks (cpu/fpu). So new that not all the mirrors have it yet! Available here if not at SiSoft yet...

And finanlly as a minor distraction there's a new and highly detailed cpu/memory benchmark from CPUreview called MemTach (v 0.89, alpha!). Very early days for this info-tool but some of you might be interesed in the array of numbers it can provide. Keep it for a bad day when the servers are down and the cache is empty - hopefully that's none of you but you never know...
Max out.

Weekend achievement award...
goes to zAmboni for his patient help with the benchmark side of TLC. With the Nimbus Networks server (TLC's host) being down thanks go to Hagabard for this mirror site. The links are now correct and new results are up, whoopee! Time and CPU sorted tables are as dated above and the others will go up over the next few hours for you delectation. We have a new top dog which will make Gibbo very pleased, some additional exotica (well new anyway) by way of processors and a smattering of about thirty plus new benchmarks. Something for everyone and their pet rabbit, though mine seem more intent on ripping each other to bits than admiring the great weather here and chilling in the grass - digression, apologies. If you had battling bunnies you mention it too (probably)! Thanks for hanging in there with us...I'm off to do the other pages now. What pages your query? The delightfully coloured column headings Time,CPU, MHz, CpF, and Username on each table will sort the data by their respective titles. So he v3.03 links on the left are only just the surface of what you can find here...
Usual caveat is that I will do my best to correct any omissions or errors, so just let me know if something is amiss, email link is through the green Max below.
Max out.

June 2, 2001     v3.03+ results latest: 20 May 2001 (17)

Benching results live - just...
Typical: I would be the one to have hard links to the results pages back at the TLC Nimbus hosted site, meaning all the links on the the left will get you nowhere! Damn! So for your patience (ie no angry emails) and usage, here are links to the mirrored tables hosted by Hagabard. Remember to use the back button to return as almost all the links on the multiple results pages lead to a certain 404 (until teamlambchop.com is back up). There will be new results posted this weekend with some happy bunnies knocked off their perches (!) so to speak. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks, Max out.
